This device is a full-bridge motor driver designed for various automotive applications. It integrates dual monolithic high-side drivers and two low-side switches. The two switches employ a technology that enables efficient integration of true power MOSFETs with intelligent signal/protection circuitry on the same die. Three dies are assembled in an SO-16N package with an electrically isolated lead frame. Its fully symmetrical mechanical design delivers excellent board-level manufacturability. Input signals INA and INB interface directly with a microcontroller to select motor direction and braking state. The SEL0 pin can be used to transfer information on CS to the microcontroller. The CS pin monitors motor current by outputting a current proportional to the motor current. PWM frequency up to 20kHz enables motor speed control under all possible conditions. In all cases, a logic low on the PWM pin turns off the LSA and LSB switches.
