VP3085-TD

VP3085 is a transceiver IC for RS485 and RS422 communication systems, supporting data transmission and reception rates up to 1Mbps. The IC operates in half-duplex mode with driver enable and receiver enable control pins. Its receiver features a 1/4 unit load input impedance, allowing up to 128 loads on the bus. The IC integrates one driver and one receiver; the low slew rate driver helps reduce EMI and reflections caused by improper cable termination. In addition to input hysteresis, the receiver incorporates an input filter to enhance noise rejection for slowly rising and falling differential signals, though this filter increases receiver propagation delay by 25%. The IC provides output protection against overcurrent and overheating caused by faults or bus contention through output-stage foldback current limiting and thermal shutdown circuitry.
