Overview
The WS3080 is a 5V, half-duplex, ±15kV ESD-protected RS-485/RS-422 transceiver IC, integrating one driver and one receiver. It features enhanced slew-rate limiting to reduce output EMI and reflections caused by mismatched terminations, enabling error-free data transmission at 500kbps. The receiver input impedance is 1/8 unit load, allowing up to 256 transceivers to be connected on the bus for half-duplex communication. All driver outputs provide ±15kV human body model ESD protection. The device is available in an 8-pin MSOP package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
