Overview
The WS3220E series are interface ICs operating from a 3V supply, compliant with EIA/TIA-232 and CCITT V.28/V.24 communication requirements and meeting low-power specifications. Each device integrates one driver, one receiver, and a dedicated switched-capacitor voltage converter. These devices operate from a 3V to 3.6V supply, guaranteed at a data rate of 250kbit/s. ESD protection on all RS-232 I/O pins exceeds ±15kV air-discharge and ±8kV contact-discharge per EN61000-4-2.
