Overview

The WS3232E series are interface ICs powered by a 3V supply, compliant with EIA/TIA-232 and CCITT V.28/V.24 communication requirements, and designed to meet low-power demands. Each device integrates two drivers, two receivers, and a dedicated switched-capacitor voltage converter. These devices operate from a 3V to 5.25V supply, with a guaranteed data rate of 250kbit/s. ESD protection on all RS232 I/O pins exceeds ±15kV air discharge and ±8kV contact discharge per EN61000-4-2.
