Overview
This series is a linear lithium battery charging IC with a maximum input voltage rating of 33V and a maximum charging current of 1.2A, employing trickle, constant current, and constant voltage charging modes. The charging voltage is preset to 4.2V or 4.35V, and the charging current can be set via an external resistor. When the battery voltage reaches 4.2V or 4.35V and the charging current drops to C/5 or C/10 of the programmed value, the IC terminates charging and enters standby mode. Upon removal of the input power, the IC automatically enters a low-power standby state. This IC is suitable for operation with USB power sources and adapter power supplies. Its internal PMOSFET architecture with integrated reverse-current protection eliminates the need for external current-sense resistors and isolation diodes.
