4056H

The 4056 series is a linear lithium battery charging IC with a maximum input voltage rating of 34V and a maximum charging current of 12A, employing trickle, constant-current, and constant-voltage charging modes. The charge voltage is selectable at 4.2V or 4.35V, and the charge current is configurable via an external resistor. When the battery voltage reaches 4.2V or 4.35V and the charge current drops to C/5 or C/10 of the programmed value, the 4056 terminates charging and enters standby mode. Upon removal of the input power supply, the IC automatically enters a low-power standby state. The IC is compatible with USB power sources and adapter power supplies. Its internal PMOSFET architecture with integrated reverse-charge protection eliminates the need for external sense resistors and isolation diodes.
