74HC4040/HCT4040 is a 12-stage binary ripple counter featuring a clock input, a prioritized asynchronous master reset input, and twelve parallel outputs. Clamping diodes are integrated at the inputs, enabling interface connections to voltages exceeding VCC via current-limiting resistors.
