Overview
74HC245 and 74HCT245 are 8-bit transceivers with 3-state outputs. The devices feature an output enable (OE) pin and a transmit/receive (DIR) pin for direction control. When the OE pin is HIGH, the outputs are placed in a high-impedance off-state. Input clamping diodes are included, enabling the use of current-limiting resistors to interface inputs to voltages higher than VCC.
