.9017R/J

.9017R is a constant-current/constant-voltage cradle charger management IC, primarily designed for single-cell lithium battery charging. The application circuit requires no external sense resistor, and due to its internal MOSFET structure, no external reverse-blocking diode is needed. Under high-power and high ambient temperature conditions, the charging current is automatically adjusted to limit the die temperature. The charge voltage is fixed, while the charge current can be adjusted via a single external resistor. When the float voltage is reached and the charge current drops to 1/10 of the programmed value, .9017R automatically terminates the charging process. When the input voltage is removed, .9017R automatically enters a low-current mode, drawing less than 5μA from the battery. When .9017R enters standby mode, the supply current is less than 70μA. .9017R also monitors charge current, features voltage detection and automatic recharge, and provides two indicator pins to signal charge status, charge termination status, and input voltage status.
