The AD8476 is an ultralow power, fully differential precision amplifier with integrated gain resistors that provide unity gain. It is ideal as a single-ended-to-differential or differential-to-differential amplifier for driving low power, high performance ADCs. It offers precision gain of 1×, common-mode level shifting, low temperature drift, and rail-to-rail output for maximum dynamic range. The AD8476 also provides overvoltage protection, withstanding large industrial input voltages up to ±23 V when operating from ±5 V dual supplies. Power consumption is only 1.5 mW from a single 5 V supply. The AD8476 is designed to work with SAR, Σ-Δ, and pipeline converters. Its high current output stage enables it to drive the switched-capacitor front ends of many ADCs with minimal error. Unlike many differential drivers, the AD8476 is a high precision amplifier. With a maximum output offset voltage of 200 μV, output noise of 39 nV/√Hz, and THD+N of −102 dB (10 kHz), it pairs seamlessly with low power, high precision converters. Given its low power and high precision characteristics, the slew-enhanced AD8476 delivers excellent speed, settling to 16-bit accuracy for 250 kSPS acquisition. The AD8476 is available in a space-saving 16-lead 3 mm × 3 mm LFCSP and an 8-lead MSOP package, rated for the −40°C to +125°C temperature range.
