ADPL40502 is a low noise, low dropout linear regulator operating from 2.2V to 5.5V, capable of delivering up to 200mA of output current. At 200mA load, the dropout voltage is only 150mV, improving efficiency and enabling operation over a wide input voltage range. The device employs an innovative circuit topology that achieves low noise performance without a bypass capacitor, making it ideal for noise-sensitive applications. This low noise performance is achieved without compromising PSRR or transient response. The quiescent current is only 290 μA at 200mA load, suitable for battery-powered portable devices. The device is designed to operate stably with small 1 μF ±30% ceramic input and output capacitors, meeting the requirements of high-performance, space-constrained applications. Seven fixed output voltage options are available, ranging from 1.2V to 3.3V. The device incorporates short-circuit and thermal overload protection circuits to prevent damage under adverse conditions. It is offered in a tiny 5-pin TSOT and 6-pin 2mm × 2mm LFCSP package to minimize board space for various portable power applications.
