Overview

The ALM2402F-Q1 is a dual-supply op amp whose features and performance make it well suited for resolver-based automotive applications. Its high gain bandwidth and slew rate, along with continuous high output current drive capability, make it an ideal choice for delivering the low-distortion, differential, high-amplitude excitation required by modern resolvers. Current limiting and overtemperature detection enhance overall system robustness when driving analog signals on fault-susceptible lines. The ALM2402F-Q1's rail-to-rail output is implemented using low on-resistance (R<sub>ds(on)</sub>) PMOS and NMOS transistors to maintain low power dissipation. The compact HTSSOP package with an exposed thermal pad and low thermal resistance (R<sub>θJA</sub>) enables users to deliver high current to the load while minimizing board space. This minimized board space is one of the key advantages offered by the ALM2402F-Q1 in modern hybrid and electric vehicle applications.
