It provides all the protection functions required for battery applications, including overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection, while maintaining very low operating power consumption. The device is designed not only for mobile phones, but also for any information product application requiring long-term power supply from Li-ion or Li-polymer rechargeable batteries.
