Overview

The CA‐IS1311 is a high-precision enhanced isolated op-amp optimized for voltage sensing. Low offset and gain errors with their associated temperature drifts maintain measurement accuracy across the full operating temperature range. The CA‐IS1311 uses silicon dioxide (SiO₂) as the isolation barrier, supporting electrical isolation up to 5 kVRMS in compliance with UL 1577 certification. This technology separates the high- and low-voltage domains to protect low-voltage components from damage, while providing low emissions and high immunity to magnetic fields. High common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) ensures that the CA‐IS1311 accurately transfers signals across the isolation barrier, making it suitable for industrial motor control and drive applications requiring high-voltage, high-power switching. The device's integrated high-side power loss detection or undervoltage lockout (UVLO) function facilitates fault diagnosis and system safety. The CA‐IS1311 features a high-impedance input, making it well-suited for applications where the signal source has a high output impedance (e.g., high-voltage resistive voltage dividers). The CA‐IS1311 includes a shutdown mode that allows the high-side circuitry to be powered down by pulling the SHTDN pin high, reducing power consumption. The CA‐IS1311 is available in a wide-body 8-pin SOIC package and is rated for operation over the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
