FH4056C

FH4056C is a single-cell lithium-ion battery constant-current/constant-voltage linear charging IC. Housed in an ESOP-8 package with minimal external components, the FH4056C is an ideal choice for portable applications. The FH4056C integrates a high-voltage MOSFET and an internal reverse-current protection circuit, supporting both USB power and adapter power operation. No external sense resistors or isolation diodes are required. A thermal feedback function automatically adjusts the charge current to limit die temperature during high-power operation or elevated ambient temperature conditions. Multi-stage charging modes — including trickle charge, constant current, constant voltage, and automatic shutdown — effectively extend battery life. The FH4056C is a complete single-cell lithium-ion battery linear charger operating in constant-current/constant-voltage mode. It can deliver up to 1000mA of charge current (with a thermally well-designed PCB layout) and provides a float voltage accuracy of ±1%. The FH4056C integrates an internal power MOSFET and thermal regulation circuitry, eliminating the need for isolation diodes or external current sense resistors. As a result, the basic charger circuit requires only a single external component. In addition, the FH4056C can operate directly from a USB power source.
