H8254 is a protection IC for 3/4-cell series-connected lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, incorporating a high-precision voltage detection circuit and delay circuit.
Key features
- High-accuracy per-cell voltage detection:
- Overcharge detection voltage n (n = 1 ~ 4): 3.9 ~ 4.35V, accuracy ±25mV
- Overcharge release voltage n (n = 1 ~ 4): 3.8 ~ 4.15V, accuracy ±80mV
- Overdischarge detection voltage n (n = 1 ~ 4): 2.3 ~ 2.7V, accuracy ±80mV
- Overdischarge release voltage n (n = 1 ~ 4): 2.7 ~ 3.0V, accuracy ±100mV
- 3-level overcurrent detection:
- Overcurrent detection voltage 1: 0.20V, accuracy ±25mV
- Overcurrent detection voltage 2: 0.50V, accuracy ±100mV
- Overcurrent detection voltage 3: VC₁ - 1.1V, accuracy ±300mV
- Overcharge detection delay time, overdischarge detection delay time, and overcurrent 1 detection delay time settable via external components; overcurrent detection 2 and 3 delay times are internally fixed
