Overview
FM9688AA/BA is an integrated power management IC specifically designed for power banks, integrating lithium battery charge management, high-efficiency boost output, LED indication, and key function modules. FM9688AA/BA charges in a linear mode, incorporating a full charging sequence including trickle charge, constant current charge, and constant voltage charge. The float voltage accuracy can reach ±1% across the full temperature range, with the additional advantages of low charging current ripple and stable output voltage. The DC-DC synchronous boost module of FM9688AA/BA integrates internal power MOSFETs, providing a 5V/500mA output with up to 90% boost conversion efficiency and output voltage accuracy of ±1%. FM9688AA/BA features multiple protection designs, including load overcurrent protection, input overvoltage protection, output current limiting protection, output short-circuit protection, and chip overtemperature protection. The chip ports are also equipped with high-performance ESD protection circuits, ensuring extremely high reliability. FM9688AA features automatic load detection, which automatically enables the boost output upon detecting a load. FM9688AA/BA is currently available in the SOP8L package.
