HE5090EA is a boost charging management IC for dual-cell series lithium battery or Li-ion battery charging from a 5V USB input. It integrates NTC functionality with a maximum charging current of 1.5A. With an integrated power MOSFET and asynchronous switching architecture, the device requires minimal external components, effectively reducing overall solution size and BOM cost. The boost switching charger operates at 500KHz with 90% conversion efficiency. The internally integrated high-voltage transistor improves reliability under various complex application conditions. With a 5V input voltage, the built-in adaptive loop intelligently adjusts charging current to prevent adapter output overload, ensuring compatibility with all adapters.
