HT65LBC184A is a low-power transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 communications. The IC integrates one driver and one receiver. The driver's slew rate is unconstrained, enabling data transmission rates up to 500Kbps. When the driver is disabled, the supply current consumption of these transceivers ranges from 120μA to 500μA under both no-load and full-load conditions. All devices operate from a single 5V supply. The driver features short-circuit current limiting and is protected by a thermal shutdown circuit that places the driver outputs in a high-impedance state to prevent excessive power dissipation. The receiver inputs incorporate a fail-safe feature that guarantees a logic-high output when the inputs are open-circuited. The HT65LBC184A is designed for half-duplex applications.
