HX3088EIDRG

HX3080E–HX3088E are +5.0V powered RS-485/RS-422 transceivers with ±16kV ESD protection. They feature a failsafe circuit that drives the receiver output to a logic high when the receiver inputs are open or shorted, or when all transmitters connected to a terminated bus are disabled. The entire family supports hot-swap capability, eliminating bus fault transients during power-up or hot insertion. The HX3080E–HX3088E drivers deliver an exceptionally large output voltage swing (exceeding 2.1V into a 54Ω load), ensuring greater noise margin. The HX3080E–HX3085E feature slew-rate-limited drivers that reduce EMI and reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, enabling error-free data transmission at up to 500kbps. The HX3086E/HX3087E/HX3088E drivers are slew-rate unlimited, supporting data rates up to 16Mbps. The HX3082E/HX3085E/HX3088 are designed for half-duplex communication, while the HX3080E/HX3081E/HX3083E/HX3084E/HX3086E/HX3087E are designed for full-duplex communication. All devices feature 1/8 unit load receiver input impedance, allowing up to 256 transceivers to be connected on the bus.
