Overview
HX6048-NGA is a highly advanced, complete constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger for single-cell lithium-ion batteries. Its package and minimal external component count make it ideal for portable applications. The charge current is programmable via a single external resistor, configurable up to 0.9A. The HX6048-NGA determines the charging mode by monitoring battery voltage: pre-charge, constant current, and constant voltage. The pre-charge and constant-current charge currents are adjustable. During constant-current and constant-voltage charging, the HX6048-NGA is subject to thermal monitoring. Two LEDs are provided to indicate the charging mode. The HX6048-NGA is available in an SOP-8L package.
