Overview
IP2315 is a high-efficiency synchronous buck battery charge management IC integrating a power MOSFET and input fast-charging protocols. The input voltage range is 5V–12V, with support for Type-C PD, Huawei FCP, Samsung AFC, MTK PE+1.1/2.0, and other input fast-charging protocols, enabling the IC to request 9V or 12V from the adapter to reduce charging time. The charging current at the input can be set via the ISET pin; with a 9V/2A input, the maximum charging current at the battery terminal can reach 4.8A (3.7V battery). It is compatible with low-current adapters and will automatically reduce the charging current when the adapter's output capability is insufficient, preventing adapter overload. The output battery voltage can be set via the VSET pin, supporting 4.2V, 4.35V, 4.4V, and 4.5V Li-ion batteries. The switching frequency is 500kHz with high conversion efficiency — for example, reaching 93% under conditions of VIN=12V, BAT=3.7V, and IBAT=4.5A. The IC supports 1–2 LED status indicators and can automatically detect the number of connected LEDs. It features charging NTC temperature protection, input overvoltage protection, and chip over-temperature protection, and supports an I²C interface.
