Overview
IP2341 is an asynchronous boost charging management IC supporting 4~6-cell lithium-ion or LiFePO₄ battery packs. It employs an asynchronous switching architecture requiring minimal external components, helping reduce overall solution size and BOM cost. The boost switching charge converter operates at 500KHz, achieving 84% conversion efficiency at 5V/2A input and 18.5V output. It features input undervoltage protection and intelligently adjusts charging current to adapt to adapter load capacity, preventing adapter overload. The device supports constant-voltage charging voltage configuration via an external resistor on the VSET pin, and input-side constant-current charging current configuration via an external resistor on the ISET pin. It also supports NTC functionality to halt charging under low or high temperature conditions. The IC is available in an ESOP8 package.
