Overview
IP6520T is a synchronous buck converter with integrated switching, supporting multiple fast charging output standards, Type-C output, and USB PD2.0/PD3.0 (PPS) protocols, providing a complete solution for in-vehicle chargers, fast charging adapters, and smart power strips. The device integrates power MOSFETs with an input voltage range of 7.3V~32V and an output voltage range of 3V~12V, capable of delivering up to 30W of output power while automatically adjusting output voltage and current according to fast charging protocols. Typical output voltage and current ratings are: 5V@3A, 9V@2.22A, 12V@1.67A. The PD output features constant voltage/constant current modes: when the output current is below the preset value, it operates in constant voltage output mode with a stable output voltage; when the output current exceeds the preset value, it operates in constant current output mode, where the output voltage decreases as the output current increases. The output voltage incorporates a line compensation function, whereby the output voltage increases proportionally with the output current to compensate for voltage drops caused by cable impedance. Supporting Type-C output with integrated multiple fast charging protocols, the device automatically identifies the fast charging protocol supported by the connected device via CC1/CC2 or DP/DM, and automatically adjusts the output voltage and current accordingly. Multiple protection features are supported, including input overvoltage and undervoltage protection, output overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and short-circuit protection.
