Overview
JSM4057 is a single-cell lithium-ion battery constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger. Its simple external application circuit makes it ideal for portable device applications, compatible with USB power supply and adapter power supply. An internal reverse-charge protection circuit eliminates the need for an external isolation diode. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charge current to limit the die temperature during high-power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The JSM4057 features a charge termination voltage of 4.2V, with charge current programmable via an external resistor. When the charge current drops to 1/10 of the programmed value, the TP4057 automatically terminates the charging process. When the input voltage is removed, the JSM4057 automatically enters a low-current standby state, reducing the standby current to 3uA.
