Overview
The 4054H is a single-cell lithium-ion battery constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger IC with 30V input voltage tolerance and overcharge protection. Its simple external application circuit makes it ideal for portable devices, compatible with both USB power supplies and adapter power sources. The chip features an integrated PMOSFET architecture and reverse-charge prevention circuitry, eliminating the need for an external isolation diode. A thermal feedback function automatically adjusts the charging current to limit the chip temperature during high-power operation or high-temperature conditions. The charge termination voltage is 4.2V, and the charging current is programmable via an external resistor. The chip automatically terminates charging when the charging current drops to 1/5 of the programmed value. When the input voltage is removed, the chip automatically enters a low-current sleep state, reducing the current to 0.
