Overview
The 4056H is a single-cell lithium-ion battery constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger featuring 30V input voltage tolerance and overcharge protection. Its simple external application circuit makes it ideal for portable devices, compatible with both USB power supply and adapter power supply operation. The device employs an internally integrated PMOSFET architecture with a reverse-charge prevention circuit, eliminating the need for an external isolation diode. Its thermal feedback function automatically adjusts the charging current to limit the die temperature during high-power operation or high-temperature ambient conditions. The charge termination voltage is 4.2V, and the charging current is programmable via an external resistor. The charging process terminates automatically when the charging current drops to 1/5 of the programmed value. Upon removal of the input voltage, the device automatically enters a low-current sleep state with the current dropping to 0.
