Overview
LGS4084 is a linear lithium battery charge management IC integrating battery charging and charge status indication, providing a complete power solution for single-cell lithium batteries. The IC supports four charging stages: short-circuit current, trickle current, constant current, and constant voltage. Short-circuit charging enables charging of 0V batteries; trickle charging pre-charges deeply discharged batteries; constant current charging rapidly charges the battery; constant voltage charging ensures charging safety. The default charge termination voltage is 4.2V, and the charge current is configurable via an external resistor, with a maximum charge current of 500mA. When the charge current drops to 1/10 of the set value, the IC automatically terminates charging and continuously monitors the battery voltage, automatically reinitiating charging when the voltage falls below a specified threshold. When the input power is removed, the IC automatically enters low-power mode, with a battery leakage current below 1uA.
