LP78080 is a driver IC designed specifically for portable lithium battery mini fans. It integrates lithium battery charge management with path management, featuring charging status, full charge, and low battery LED indicators, with three selectable output operating modes via a push button. The IC employs a linear charging architecture with a built-in fixed charging current of 500mA or 800mA, supporting a complete charging sequence including trickle charge, constant current, and constant voltage phases. The IC integrates button debounce functionality along with multiple protection features, including short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection, and reverse battery protection. High-performance ESD protection circuits are implemented on all IC ports, ensuring exceptional reliability and stability. In addition, the LP78080 application circuit is simple, requiring only a minimal number of external components to realize a complete portable lithium battery charging fan solution, significantly reducing overall system size.
