LR5112-E

LR5112 is a highly integrated, cost-effective single-cell Li-ion battery charger IC. It employs constant-current/constant-voltage linear control with minimal external components, making it ideal for portable applications as well as USB and adapter power supply operation. The IC features an internal PMOSFET architecture with reverse-current protection, eliminating the need for external sense resistors and isolation diodes. Its thermal feedback function automatically adjusts the charge current to limit junction temperature during high-power operation or elevated ambient temperature conditions. The full-charge voltage is fixed at 4.2V. Charge current is programmable via an external resistor on the PROG pin, up to a maximum of 1.2A. When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power) is removed, the LR5112 automatically enters a low-current state with battery leakage current below 3uA. Additional features include charge current monitoring, input overvoltage protection, undervoltage lockout, automatic recharge, and two status pins indicating end-of-charge and input voltage presence.
