Overview

The OPA828 and OPA2828 (OPAx828) JFET-input op amps are the next-generation successors to the OPA627 and OPA827, combining high speed, high DC precision, and superior AC performance. These op amps deliver low offset voltage, low temperature drift, low bias current, and low noise of only 60nVRMS from 0.1Hz to 10Hz. The OPAx828 operates over a wide supply voltage range of ±4V to ±18V with a quiescent current of only 5.5mA (typical) per channel. With a comprehensive set of AC characteristics — including 45MHz GBW, 150V/μs slew rate — combined with precision DC performance, the OPAx828 family is well suited for a wide range of applications, including high-speed and high-resolution data acquisition systems (e.g., 16-bit and 18-bit mixed-signal systems), transimpedance (I/V conversion) amplifiers, filters, precision ±10V front-ends, and high-impedance sensor interface applications. The OPAx828 is available in an 8-pin SOIC package and a thermally enhanced 8-pin HVSSOP PowerPAD IC package.
