The RS245S is designed for asynchronous communication between two data buses. The logic levels of the direction control (DIR) input and output enable (OE) input activate the B-port outputs or A-port outputs, or place both output ports in high-impedance mode. When the B-port outputs are activated, the device transfers data from the A bus to the B bus; when the A-port outputs are activated, the device transfers data from the B bus to the A bus. The input circuits on both the A and B ports are always active, and a logic high or low level must be applied to prevent excessive ICC0. To maintain the high-impedance state during power-up or power-down, OE should be connected to VCC through a pull-up resistor, with the minimum resistor value determined by the current sinking capability of the driver. Operating ambient temperature range: -40°C ~ +125°C.
