The SGM8T245 is an 8-bit dual-supply bus transceiver with configurable voltage translation and tri-state output. An and Bn are 8-bit data I/O ports, DIR is the direction control input, and OE is the output enable input. VCCA and VCCB are power supply pins. The supply voltage range for VCCA and VCCB is 1.2V to 5.0V, making the device suitable for bidirectional translation between 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5.0V voltage nodes. The An, OE, and DIR pins are referenced to VCCA, while the Bn pins are referenced to VCCB. When DIR is driven high, data transmission from An to Bn is enabled; when DIR is driven low, data transmission from Bn to An is enabled. OE can be used to disable the outputs, effectively isolating the bus. In standby mode, when VCCA or VCCB is at ground level, both An and Bn are in a high-impedance state. The device is suitable for partial power-down applications using IOFF. When the device is powered down, it prevents reverse current flow into the device, protecting it from damage. OE (active low) should be connected to VCC through a pull-up resistor to ensure a high-impedance state during power-up or power-down; the minimum resistance depends on the sink current capability of the driver. The SGM8T245 is available in green TSSOP-24 and TQFN-5.5×3.5-24L packages, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
