Overview
SL4056E is a single-cell lithium-ion battery constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger with a simple external application circuit, suitable for portable devices. It operates with both USB power and adapter power supplies. An internal reverse-discharge protection circuit eliminates the need for an external isolation diode. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charge current to limit the chip temperature. The charge termination voltage is 4.2V, and the charge current is programmable via an external resistor. Charging terminates automatically when the charge current drops to 1/10 of the set value. When the input voltage is removed, the device automatically enters a low-current standby state, with standby current reduced to 1μA.
