Overview

SN74HC/HCT125 is a quadruple bus buffer/line driver with 3-state outputs controlled by output-enable inputs (nOE). A high level on nOE forces the outputs into a high-impedance state. The outputs feature built-in clamp diodes, allowing input interfacing to voltages exceeding VCC through current-limiting resistors.
