Overview
The 74HC4060 is a 14-stage ripple-carry binary counter/divider with an integrated oscillator, featuring three oscillator terminals (RS, REXT, and CEXT), ten buffered outputs (Q3 through Q9 and Q11 through Q13), and an asynchronous master reset input (MR). The oscillator configuration allows RC or crystal oscillator circuits to be designed. The oscillator can be replaced by an external clock signal at the RS input. The counter advances on the falling edge of RS. A HIGH on MR resets the counter (Q3 through Q9 and Q11 through Q13 outputs LOW), independent of all other input conditions. The recommended operating supply voltage range is 3V to 15V (with respect to Vss, typically ground). Unused inputs must be connected to VDD, Vss, or another input.
