Overview

SN74HC/HCT540 is an 8-bit inverting buffer/line driver with 3-state outputs. The device features two output enables (OE1 and OE2). A high level on OEn causes the outputs to assume a high-impedance state. The inputs include clamp diodes, allowing current-limiting resistors to be used for interfacing inputs to voltages exceeding VCC.
