The TPA191Q series zero-drift bidirectional current-sense amplifiers detect the voltage drop across a shunt resistor over a common-mode voltage range of -0.3 V to 36 V, independent of the supply voltage. The series offers multiple fixed gains: 20 V/V, 50 V/V, 75 V/V, 100 V/V, 200 V/V, 500 V/V, and 1000 V/V. The integrated gain resistor network is highly matched to minimize gain error and reduce temperature drift. The low offset of the zero-drift architecture extends the current sensing range, allowing smaller sense resistors to reduce power dissipation while still ensuring accurate current measurement. TPA191Q devices operate from a 2.7 V to 36 V single supply with a typical supply current of 80 μA. All versions operate over a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C and are available in an SOT363 package.
