Overview
The TPS2412/13 can be used in various systems, such as servers and telecommunications systems. These applications typically feature N+1 redundant power supplies, redundant power buses, or both. During faults and hot-plugging, redundant power supplies must have equivalent diode OR to prevent reverse current. Compared with Schottky diodes, the TPS2412/13 and N-channel MOSFETs can provide this function with lower power loss. Precise voltage sensing and programmable shutdown thresholds allow the operation mode to be tailored to various implementation methods and bus characteristics. The TPS2412/13 has fewer pins, so it has fewer features compared to the TPS2410/11 versions.
