This device is a half-duplex transceiver designed for RS-485 data bus networks, incorporating one driver and one receiver. The receiver features a fail-safe function that ensures the output remains high when the receiver input is open-circuited. The device also integrates a hot-swap glitch-free protection circuit, ensuring that both the driver and receiver outputs remain in a high-impedance state during power-up, thereby preventing large short-circuit currents from supply to ground through the glitch-free function to reduce power consumption and improve power-up efficiency. The transceiver is optimized for signaling rates up to 500kbps with a differential voltage of 2.3V. In addition, the device features thermal shutdown when the temperature exceeds 150℃, and the driver incorporates current-limiting protection to safeguard itself against system fault conditions during normal operation.
