WB6058D is a single-cell, fully integrated CC/CV linear lithium battery charger IC with a 32V input voltage rating and a maximum charging current of 1A. It features a compact package with minimal external components, making it ideal for handheld device applications. The charging process consists of three stages: pre-charge to recover deeply discharged batteries; constant current (CC) charging for rapid capacity replenishment; and constant voltage (CV) charging to fully charge the battery. The IC integrates a thermal foldback function that reduces charging current when the temperature reaches a set threshold to minimize heat dissipation. With an integrated power transistor, no external current sense resistor or reverse-blocking diode is required. It supports battery reverse polarity protection, preventing IC damage even if the battery is connected in reverse. The CC charging current is adjustable via an external resistor. After the battery is fully charged, the IC continuously monitors battery voltage and automatically restarts charging when the voltage drops below a set threshold. The package type is DFN2×2-8.
