XB5307A is a highly integrated protection solution for single-cell Li-ion/Li-polymer rechargeable battery packs. It integrates advanced power MOSFETs, high-precision voltage detection circuits, and delay circuits. Using a SOT23-6 package with only one external component, it minimizes the battery protection circuit footprint, making it ideal for space-constrained rechargeable battery pack applications. It provides all necessary battery protection functions including overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, overtemperature, and short circuit protection, with very low power consumption during operation. Suitable for a wide range of information products requiring long-term power supply from Li-ion or Li-polymer rechargeable batteries, such as smart bands, watches, Bluetooth earphones, and similar products. The XB5307A monitors the voltage and current of a battery and protects it from being damaged due to overcharge voltage, overdischarge voltage, overdischarge current, and short circuit conditions by disconnecting the battery from the load or charger. These functions are required in order to operate the battery cell within specified limits. The device requires only one external capacitor. The MOSFET is integrated and its RSS(ON) is as low as 40mΩ typical.
