XB5352A

The XB5352 is a highly integrated protection solution for single-cell lithium-ion/lithium-polymer rechargeable battery packs. It integrates an advanced power MOSFET, high-precision voltage detection circuit, and delay circuit. The SOT23-5 package with only one external component minimizes the battery protection circuit footprint, making it ideal for space-constrained rechargeable battery pack applications. It provides all necessary battery protection functions including overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, overtemperature, and short circuit protection, with very low operating power consumption. Suitable for all types of information products requiring long-duration power supply from lithium-ion or lithium-polymer rechargeable batteries. The XB5352 monitors the voltage and current of a battery and protects it from being damaged due to overcharge voltage, overdischarge voltage, overdischarge current, and short circuit conditions by disconnecting the battery from the load or charger. These functions are required in order to operate the battery cell within specified limits. The device requires only one external capacitor. The MOSFET is integrated and its RSS(ON) is as low as 45 mΩ typical.
