Overview
XPM5015 is a synchronous buck converter with integrated switching transistors, supporting dual-protocol identification, and providing a complete solution for power supply devices such as car chargers, adapters, and smart power strips. The XPM5015 integrates power MOSFETs and supports a wide input voltage range of 8V to 30V. The output voltage is 5.05V with a maximum output current capability of 3.4A. The XPM5015 features constant voltage and constant current output characteristics. When the output current is below the set limit, it operates in constant voltage mode; when the output current reaches the set limit, it operates in constant current mode. The output voltage incorporates a line compensation function that dynamically increases the output voltage as the output current rises, compensating for the voltage drop caused by charging cable resistance. The XPM5015 integrates the XPD-LINK interconnect communication patent technology. Via the XPD-LINK interconnect function, the XPM5015 can connect with chips supporting this technology to transmit power information. This function can also indicate the load current output status. The XPM5015 offers very high reliability, with an input voltage withstanding capability up to 36V. It also features multiple protection functions, including input overvoltage and undervoltage protection, output overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and short-circuit hiccup protection. The XPM5015 is available in an ESOP8 package.
