Overview
FBC4056 is a single-cell lithium-ion battery constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger. Its simple external application circuitry makes it ideal for portable device applications, suitable for operation with USB power supplies and adapter power supplies. An internal reverse-charge protection circuit eliminates the need for an external blocking diode. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charge current to limit the die temperature during high-power operation or elevated ambient temperature conditions. The FBC4056 has a charge termination voltage of 4.2V, and the charge current is programmable via an external resistor. When the charge current drops to 1/10 of the programmed value, the FBC4056 automatically terminates the charging process.
