Overview
A single-cell lithium-ion battery CC/CV linear charger with 30V input voltage tolerance and input overvoltage protection. The minimal external circuitry makes it ideal for portable device applications, compatible with both USB power and adapter power sources. The integrated internal PMOSFET architecture and anti-backflow circuit eliminate the need for external isolation diodes. A thermal feedback mechanism automatically adjusts the charging current to limit chip temperature during high-power operation or in high-temperature environments. The charge termination voltage is 4.2V, and the charging current is programmable via an external resistor. Charging terminates automatically when the current drops to one-fifth of the programmed value. When the input power source is removed, the device automatically enters a low-current sleep state, reducing standby current to zero.
