Overview
LGS4056H is a linear lithium battery charge management IC integrating battery charging management and charge status indication functions, providing a complete power solution for single-cell lithium batteries. The IC features four charging stages: short-circuit current, trickle current, constant current, and constant voltage. Short-circuit charging enables charging of 0V batteries; trickle charging pre-charges fully discharged batteries; constant current charging rapidly charges the battery; and constant voltage charging ensures safe battery charging. The LGS4056H has a default charge termination voltage of 4.2V, with programmable charge current via an external resistor and a maximum charge current of 1A. When the charge current drops to one-tenth of the set termination voltage, the IC automatically terminates the charging process and continuously monitors the battery voltage, automatically restarting charging when the voltage drops below a defined threshold. When the input voltage is removed, the IC automatically enters low-power mode, with battery leakage current below 1μA.
