Overview
MAX3485EIM/TR is a RS-485 transceiver with 3.0V~5.5V wide supply voltage, bus port ESD protection up to 15kV HBM, bus voltage tolerance of ±15V, half-duplex, low-power operation, fully compliant with TIA/EIA-485 standard. It integrates one driver and one receiver, both independently enable/disable. When both are disabled, the driver and receiver outputs enter high-impedance state. With 1/8 unit load, up to 256 MAX3485EIM/TR transceivers can be connected on the same communication bus. Error-free data transmission up to 14Mbps. Operating voltage is 3.3V, with fail-safe, current limiting, and overvoltage protection features.
