NSG4428

NSG4428 is a driver for power switch series. It provides matched rise and fall times when charging and discharging the gate of a power switch. The NSG4428 is highly latch-resistant under any conditions within its rated power and voltage range. The NSG4428 will not be damaged when noise spikes of up to 5V (either polarity) appear on the ground pin. The NSG4428 can accept up to 500mA of reverse current forced back into its output without damage or logic upset. All terminals are fully protected against ESD up to 2.0 kV. The NSG4428 is an ultra-high-speed, high-current power chip driver with level-triggered signal input ports — the chip operates normally whenever the voltage meets the logic requirements. The NSG4428 features two independent signal input ports for receiving control signals from the host controller without mutual interference. Both ports are designed with high reliability; even with 500mA of reverse current forced back into the output, no damage or logic upset will occur. The signal input ports are also capable of directly handling voltages down to -10V, ensuring safe operation under large noise waveforms and improving chip stability. The INA signal input port of the NSG4428 has a pull-up resistor to VCC; it is recommended to tie this port to VCC when not in use. The INB signal input port has a pull-up resistor to GND; it is recommended to tie this port to GND when not in use. Channel A output of the NSG4428 is inverted relative to the input signal, while Channel B output is in phase with the input signal, making it suitable for driving either P-type or N-type MOSFETs. Each output port can source or sink peak currents of 2A; the high-speed, high-current capability makes it well suited for driving MOSFETs in high-frequency application designs. The high-speed, high-current characteristics of the NSG4428 are applicable to high-frequency power supplies and similar use cases.
